2024–25 Upper Deck DC Annual: Comic Covers, Creator Autos and the 100-Card Set
Upper Deck’s 2026 release combines a broad DC roster with comic-book cover cards and signatures from the people who make the comics.
We update this release guide as verified product details develop.

DC Annual makes room for both the characters and the comics themselves. The 2024–25 Upper Deck release has a 100-card base set, Number 1 Spot cards built around first issues, character-focused story inserts and a creator autograph program. Despite its printed 2024–25 label, this is a 2026 release. Official product overview
A broad DC base set
Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman open the base checklist, followed by heroes and villains including Darkseid, Zatanna, Harley Quinn, Detective Chimp and multiple Green Lanterns. The checklist distinguishes Clark Kent and Jon Kent, Barbara Gordon and Cassandra Cain, and several Flash identities rather than collapsing them into one character name. Official checklist
Darkseid’s base card uses a full-height comic illustration, a blue patterned border and a nameplate along the lower edge. Variant Cover cards change to a black-and-white treatment; Silver Sparkle, Green /499, Gold Linearity /88, Hologram /25, Crystal Clear /25 and Purple Diamond 1/1 offer other base versions.
The comic-cover and character inserts
Number 1 Spot includes comic debuts such as Aquaman #1, Absolute Power #1 and Justice League Unlimited #1. The Aquaman preview reproduces the cover inside a blue frame with the comic title identified beneath it. It is a different sort of card from a character portrait: the published issue becomes the subject.
Nightwing, Shazam! and Wonder Woman each have separate story-based insert sets. Star Rookies covers newer characters, while Iconic Artwork uses older illustrations. The Green Lantern preview gives its horizontal artwork a navy-and-gold border and prominent lettering along the side.
Creator autographs and the Hobby format
Creators Corner autographs include David Nakayama, Kelly Thompson, Jorge Jimenez, Jeph Loeb, Chip Zdarsky, Mark Waid and Dan Mora, among the checklist’s signers. Dual autographs are numbered to ten, with pairings including Mora/Waid, Scott Snyder/Rafa Sandoval and Daniel Sampere/Tom King. Sketch cards and Ready for Action sketch booklets supply separate original-art chases.
Upper Deck announces these Hobby-box averages: six Variant Cover parallels, four Silver Sparkle cards, one Backscatter, two Absolute Power cards and three rare inserts. The autograph and sketch cards are chase content rather than part of that box promise. Elseworlds and the four numbered Suspended Animation levels add further collecting paths for readers following specific DC characters.
