2025–26 Upper Deck Allure Hockey Checklist: Rookies and Parallels

Ivan Demidov is #110 in the numbered rookie run. Cowan, Misa, Schaefer and Dickinson have separate AR codes, with parallel names that matter just as much as the player.

The first useful split in the 2025–26 Upper Deck Allure Hockey checklist is between numbered rookies and extended rookies. Ivan Demidov is #110 in Base Set - Rookies. Easton Cowan, Michael Misa, Matthew Schaefer and Sam Dickinson appear in Base Set - Extended Rookies with AR codes instead of numbers in that rookie sequence. Those are different targets for a want list, even before choosing a parallel. Upper Deck's official checklist supplies the section names, card identifiers and stated pack information.

The numbered base set and rookie run

The regular Base Set includes Gabriel Landeskog #1, Connor McDavid #97, Connor Bedard #98 and Seth Jarvis #100. The next section begins with Ryan Leonard #101 under Base Set - Rookies; Ryan Greene #150 appears near its end. The section label matters. Cutter Gauthier #93, for example, appears in the regular Base Set, while Leonard #101 is explicitly marked Rookie. A collector sorting by player name or card number alone can miss that checklist distinction.

That numbered rookie section offers several clear player collections. Demidov #110 gives a Montreal collector one exact Allure target; Parekh #102 and Nikishin #115 serve the same purpose for Calgary and Carolina. Sam Rinzel #111 for Chicago and Noah Ostlund #147 for Buffalo add two more. Their numbers are practical search terms when a listing simply calls a card an “Allure rookie.” Match the number, player and section before deciding that two listings offer the same card.

Upper Deck prints four Base per Pack, three per Blaster Pack beside the regular base rows shown. Its numbered rookie rows carry the separate notation 1:1 h, 1:1 e, 1:2 b. Those statements describe checklist groups, not a promise that a pack will contain Demidov, Leonard or any other particular rookie. They also give a reason to keep regular base cards and rookie entries separate when planning a set build.

Four extended rookies have AR codes

The extended rookies are a compact, distinct part of the checklist. Upper Deck lists Cowan for Toronto as AR-EC, Misa for San Jose as AR-MM, Schaefer for the New York Islanders as AR-MS, and Dickinson for San Jose as AR-SD. Each row is marked Rookie and says “Random Inserts in all Packs.” That wording establishes their presence in the pack mix but gives no numerical pull rate for an individual player.

CodeExtended rookieListed team
AR-ECEaston CowanToronto Maple Leafs
AR-MMMichael MisaSan Jose Sharks
AR-MSMatthew SchaeferNew York Islanders
AR-SDSam DickinsonSan Jose Sharks

The AR prefix keeps these cards from being mistaken for the numbered rookie run. For a San Jose collection, Misa AR-MM and Dickinson AR-SD are two separate subjects; a search for “Allure Sharks rookie” is too broad to identify either one. Likewise, an AR-MI guess for Misa would be wrong. Use the printed code rather than constructing one from a name.

Upper Deck also shows all four AR codes under Orange Slice Parallel - Extended Rookies. An AR-MS listing could therefore describe Schaefer's extended rookie entry or its Orange Slice parallel. The code alone does not settle which version is offered. Check the parallel name and the pictured card before adding a copy to a specific want list. The Orange Slice rows repeat “Random Inserts in all Packs,” which gives no numeric rate for that parallel group.

Read parallel rates by group and pack notation

The parallel sections of Upper Deck's checklist show why “Allure parallel” is not a precise card description. Black Rainbow Parallel repeats numbered Base Set entries, including Landeskog #1, Leo Carlsson #2 and Alex Ovechkin #8. Glitter Bomb Parallel also uses those numbered entries. Orange Slice for extended rookies uses the AR codes. A player and number can point to more than one checklist section, so the parallel name belongs in the card's identity.

Checklist groupStated pack information in the shown rows
Regular Base SetFour Base per Pack; three per Blaster Pack
Base Set - Rookies1:1 h, 1:1 e, 1:2 b
Black Rainbow Parallel1:2 h, 1:2 e, 1:5 b
Orange Slice Parallel - Extended RookiesRandom Inserts in all Packs
Glitter Bomb Parallel1:3 Blaster

Keep Upper Deck's h, e and b suffixes attached to the rates when comparing entries. Black Rainbow's printed 1:2 h, 1:2 e, 1:5 b is not one universal “one in two” claim. Glitter Bomb carries a stated 1:3 Blaster rate; that is a group rate, not the chance of finding Ovechkin #8 specifically. The checklist information supports a comparison of pack groups, but it cannot tell you how many packs will yield one named card.

For singles, write the want list as player + identifier + section or parallel: Demidov #110 Base Set - Rookies, Cowan AR-EC Base Set - Extended Rookies, or Cowan AR-EC Orange Slice Parallel - Extended Rookies. That small amount of detail prevents a regular card from standing in for the parallel you wanted. Pack frequency can make one route more appealing to open, but the condition and asking price of an individual copy are separate decisions. Start with the exact card, then judge the offered copy on its own merits.
