2025–26 Upper Deck Clear Cut Hockey Checklist: Autos, Rookies and Updates
Demidov's CC-ID rookie auto is numbered to 199, while familiar CC codes also appear in High Gloss. The checklist includes earlier-season updates worth sorting separately.
We update this release guide as verified product details develop.

The 2025–26 Upper Deck Clear Cut Hockey checklist offers several distinct ways to collect a player. Alex Ovechkin CC-AO and Connor McDavid CC-CO appear in the 2025–26 Base Set as autographs marked SSP. Ivan Demidov CC-ID is in Base Set - Rookies, with an autograph numbered to 199. Those are different checklist groups, and the official Upper Deck checklist also includes High Gloss parallels, Canvas Rookie Debuts and cards explicitly labeled as earlier-season updates. Start a want list with the season, section and card code together; a player name alone leaves out too much.
Base autographs and numbered rookies
The regular Base Set rows shown by Upper Deck are marked Auto and carry a stated 1:12 rate. Ovechkin CC-AO and McDavid CC-CO have the additional SSP label. Connor Bedard CC-CB, Cutter Gauthier CC-CG and Leon Draisaitl CC-LD are marked SP. Casey Mittelstadt CC-CM, Dylan Holloway CC-DH, Filip Forsberg CC-FF, Luke Hughes CC-HU and Jake Neighbours CC-JA appear in the same base section without an SP or SSP label in the shown rows.
That makes the section useful for more than chasing a famous name. A Bedard collector can specify CC-CB Base Set SP; a Washington collector can specify CC-AO Base Set SSP. The 1:12 notation describes the checklist group, not the chance of pulling either named card. Likewise, SP and SSP identify Upper Deck's checklist categories here; they are not disclosed serial numbers. They help distinguish entries, but they cannot by themselves establish how many copies of a particular base autograph exist.
The rookie section uses the same CC prefix but adds an explicit Rookie designation and stated numbering. These examples are all marked Auto in Upper Deck's rookie rows:
| Card | Rookie | Listed team | Numbered to |
|---|---|---|---|
| CC-DY | Danila Yurov | Minnesota Wild | 299 |
| CC-EC | Easton Cowan | Toronto Maple Leafs | 299 |
| CC-GP | Gabe Perreault | New York Rangers | 299 |
| CC-ID | Ivan Demidov | Montreal Canadiens | 199 |
| CC-JS | Jimmy Snuggerud | St. Louis Blues | 299 |
Demidov's /199 is a specific difference from the /299 rookie autographs shown for Cowan, Perreault, Yurov and Snuggerud. It gives a Montreal want list a precise target, without saying what a copy should cost. The rookie rows say “Random Inserts in Packs” rather than giving an individual player's pull rate. If a listing calls a card only a “Clear Cut rookie auto,” check its code and serial numbering before comparing it with another offer.
High Gloss keeps the code but changes the card
High Gloss is a separate parallel section. The shown High Gloss rows include Ovechkin CC-AO, Bedard CC-CB, McDavid CC-CO and Draisaitl CC-LD, each marked Auto and numbered to 10. Their codes also appear in the regular Base Set. That overlap makes the parallel name and serial numbering part of the card's identity, not a minor listing detail.
For example, CC-AO can refer to Ovechkin's Base Set autograph, labeled SSP, or his High Gloss Parallel /10. The base SSP label does not mean the base card is numbered to 10. The same distinction applies to Bedard CC-CB: the regular base entry is labeled SP, while the High Gloss entry is explicitly numbered to 10. A collector looking for a numbered parallel should confirm that the offered card is High Gloss and examine the pictured numbering on the actual copy.
The /10 limit is concrete scarcity information; it is not a price guide. Autograph appearance, card condition and the seller's asking price still belong to the individual copy. A lower stated number can make a version more interesting to own, but it does not turn an asking price into a sale or establish a market value.
Canvas Rookie Debuts and their signatures
The Canvas Rookie Debuts section provides another useful split. Michael Misa CD-MM, Matthew Schaefer CD-MS and Ryan Leonard CD-RL appear in the regular Canvas Rookie Debuts rows with the Rookie designation. The shown regular rows are not marked Auto or given a serial number. The same three codes appear under Canvas Rookie Debuts Signatures, where each is marked Rookie, Auto and numbered to 25. Upper Deck lists the two sections separately.
For a Misa collection, CD-MM Canvas Rookie Debuts and CD-MM Canvas Rookie Debuts Signatures /25 are two different targets. Schaefer CD-MS and Leonard CD-RL have the same shown split. A card code by itself will not tell you which version a listing offers; the section name and the card shown need to agree. “Random Inserts in Packs” appears beside these entries, but the shown rows do not provide a numerical rate for pulling a particular player.
Demidov adds a different comparison. His CC-ID Base Set - Rookies autograph is numbered to 199, while CD-ID Canvas Rookie Debuts Signatures is numbered to 25. The first is a base rookie autograph; the second belongs to a named Canvas signature section. They should not be treated as two serial levels of the same card. The signature section also shows Artyom Levshunov CD-AL, Jimmy Snuggerud CD-JS and Beckett Sennecke CD-BS, each numbered to 25.
Keep the update year attached to the card
The title says 2025–26, but the checklist also has entries labeled 2024–25 Update and 2023–24 Update. In 2024–25 Update - Base Set, Auston Matthews CC-AU, McDavid CC-MC and Ovechkin CC-OV are autograph entries. McDavid and Ovechkin are marked SSP there, and the shown update rows state 1:6 Hobby. That is a different checklist section and rate from the 2025–26 Base Set's 1:12 notation. Ovechkin CC-OV is therefore not a shorthand for Ovechkin CC-AO; McDavid CC-MC is not McDavid CC-CO.
The earlier update material reaches still further back. 2023–24 Update - Supreme Skill Gold Parallel - Greats lists Mario Lemieux SSK-ML and Steve Yzerman SSK-SY as autographs numbered to 1. Its Rookies subsection lists Matt Savoie SSK-MS and Zach Benson SSK-ZB as XRC autographs numbered to 1. Those cards may appear under the same overall checklist page, but their stated season and section are essential to describing them accurately.
For a focused collection, record season + section or parallel + code + player + stated numbering. That distinguishes a 2025–26 base autograph from a High Gloss parallel, a Canvas signature from a regular Canvas Rookie Debuts card, and a current-year entry from an earlier update. Once the exact card is settled, judge the pictured copy and its asking price on their own terms.
