Ivan Demidov has two AR-ID entries in 2025–26 SP Game Used Hockey. Upper Deck's official checklist lists him under both Base Set – Authentic Rookies and Red Parallel – Authentic Rookies. The Red entry is listed as serial numbered to 399. The code identifies the player within each group; the full group name tells you which version you have.

That distinction runs through the rookies shown on the checklist. Gabe Perreault, John Farinacci and other players also have a base Authentic Rookies entry and a Red Parallel entry with the same code. A want list built around the code alone would collapse those separate cards into one.

Start with the numbered Base Set

The regular Base Set uses card numbers rather than the AR codes. Blake Coleman opens the shown run at #1 for Calgary, followed by Miro Heiskanen #2 for Dallas and Nick Suzuki #3 for Montreal. Thomas Chabot #4, Dylan Holloway #5 and Ivan Barbashev #6 continue the sequence. Upper Deck describes the pack allocation as “Two Base 1-200 per Pack.” That is a statement about the base group in a pack, not a promise of either specific player.

The numbers make a team project more precise. A St. Louis collector can identify Holloway #5 and MacInnis #7 as two separate cards in the regular Base Set. For a player search, keep “Base Set #5” with Holloway's name so that a numbered base card does not get confused with a differently labeled SP Game Used card.

Read the Authentic Rookies code with the set name

The Base Set – Authentic Rookies entries use AR codes. Upper Deck marks the displayed entries as Rookie and prints 1:1.33 h, 1:1.33 e beside them. Those are stated frequencies for the checklist group; they do not describe the chance of pulling one named player. The code is the practical identifier when you are looking for a particular rookie.

For Montreal, Demidov AR-ID is an exact target, rather than a generic search for a 2025–26 rookie. A Rangers collector can do the same with Perreault AR-GP. Farinacci AR-FA and Brunet AR-FB show why the letters matter even within one team: both are Boston Authentic Rookies, but they have different codes and different player names. The manufacturer checklist is the reference for the full set name and code together.

Separate the Red /399 rookies

Upper Deck repeats those codes under Red Parallel – Authentic Rookies. The displayed Red rows carry 399 in the checklist's serial-numbered column and are labeled random inserts in all packs. Demidov AR-ID in Red is therefore a different card from Demidov AR-ID in the Base Set – Authentic Rookies group. The same distinction applies to Perreault AR-GP and the other matching entries shown above.

If a listing says only “AR-ID” or “Authentic Rookie,” check the set name and the card itself before treating it as the Red /399 version. The checklist gives a clear choice: collect the standard coded rookie, pursue its serial-numbered Red parallel, or put both on the want list. It establishes the card identities and stated pack information; it does not establish a current asking price or show that sealed product is available at a particular store.
