2025–26 Upper Deck SPx Hockey Checklist: Rookies and Holograms
The rookie run and Hologram Rookies use different numbers and stated pack rates. Zayne Parekh and Beckett Sennecke give collectors clear examples of why the section matters.
We update this release guide as verified product details develop.

Zayne Parekh has more than one rookie target in 2025–26 Upper Deck SPx Hockey. He is #148 in Base Set - Rookies and #151 in Base Set - Hologram Rookies. Beckett Sennecke likewise appears as rookie #106 and Hologram Rookie #163. Those are separate checklist entries, not two names for the same card. Upper Deck’s official SPx checklist identifies the sections, card numbers and stated pack odds.
Where the numbered rookie sections begin
The regular Base Set reaches Brayden Point #100. Base Set - Rookies starts at Ozzy Wiesblatt #101 and reaches Hunter Brzustewicz #150. The next section, Base Set - Hologram Rookies, begins with Parekh #151 and includes Dmitri Simashev #165. That sequence gives a collector a quick way to tell which part of the numbered checklist a listing belongs to, but the section name still matters when identifying a specific card.
| Checklist section | Selected cards | Stated odds on those rows |
|---|---|---|
| Base Set | Cale Makar #5; David Pastrnak #94; Brayden Point #100 | 1:1 h, 1:1 e |
| Base Set - Rookies | Ben Kindel #103; Sennecke #106; Parekh #148 | 1:2 h, 1:2 e |
| Base Set - Hologram Rookies | Parekh #151; Ivan Demidov #152; Sennecke #163 | 1:86 h, 1:86 e |
The rookie designation is explicit on the rookie and Hologram Rookie rows. Kindel #103 is listed with Pittsburgh, Zeev Buium #107 with Minnesota, Alexander Nikishin #147 with Carolina and Parekh #148 with Calgary. These numbers are more useful than a broad search for an “SPx rookie”: they separate named players within the same section, and they give you something exact to check against the card offered.
Upper Deck prints the odds above with h and e suffixes. Keep those suffixes attached when comparing groups. A 1:2 h, 1:2 e rookie entry describes the rookie group shown on the checklist; it is not the chance of pulling Kindel #103 or Parekh #148 specifically. The same distinction is especially useful for the Hologram Rookies, whose rows show 1:86 h, 1:86 e.
Hologram Rookies are their own targets
Upper Deck marks the Hologram Rookie entries as both Rookie and Hologram in its checklist columns. Demidov #152 is listed with Montreal, Matthew Wood #153 with Nashville, Gabe Perreault #155 with the New York Rangers and Ryan Leonard #156 with Washington. Later entries shown include Michael Misa #161 for San Jose, Artyom Levshunov #162 for Chicago and Sennecke #163 for Anaheim. The Hologram label is part of each card’s checklist identity; the stated odds do not establish a print run for any one of them.
Parekh and Sennecke make the difference particularly clear. Parekh’s regular rookie #148 and Hologram Rookie #151 have different numbers and different checklist rates. Sennecke’s #106 and #163 follow the same pattern. A player collector can pursue both versions, while someone choosing one representative card can decide which checklist section appeals more. The player name alone cannot settle that choice.
Silver and Gold change the version, not the number
The parallel rows add another layer to a want list. Cale Makar is regular Base Set #5, Silver Parallel #5 and Gold Parallel #5 in the manufacturer’s checklist. The shown Silver rows for regular base cards state 1:4 h, 1:4 e; the shown Gold rows state 1:12 h, 1:12 e. These are section rates, not odds for a Makar card in particular.
Silver also has a separate rookie section. Parekh #148 Silver Parallel - Rookies and Nikishin #147 Silver Parallel - Rookies appear in the shown rows at 1:11 h, 1:11 e. Parekh #148 therefore needs a version label: the Base Set - Rookies card and its Silver parallel share a number, while his Hologram Rookie has #151. For Makar #5, the version label distinguishes Base Set, Silver and Gold. A listing that gives only the player and number leaves that decision open.
Write the target as player, number and checklist section or parallel before comparing copies. Then look at the actual card and its condition alongside the asking price. The checklist tells you what version you are seeking and how Upper Deck labels its pack odds; it does not turn one offered copy into a good buy on its own.
