2025–26 UD Extended Series Hockey Checklist: Young Guns, Four Nations and Parallels

Beckett Sennecke, Berkly Catton and the Four Nations cards give collectors several distinct paths through the official Extended Series checklist.

Beckett Sennecke #701 is a Young Guns card in 2025–26 UD Extended Series, while Berkly Catton #742 belongs to the separately named 1st Round Rookies section. The two also share a Young Guns checklist card, #740. Those are three different targets even before Holiday and Outburst versions enter the search. Upper Deck’s official checklist gives each entry its set name and number; using both makes a player collection much easier to sort.

The same checklist moves from NHL team cards into Four Nations entries, then into rookie sections with different stated odds. A collector building the numbered run, following one rookie, or collecting a national-team appearance will find different cards worth looking for. The useful starting point is the exact section, not just a familiar name on an Extended Series listing.

The numbered base run includes team cards and Four Nations entries

Upper Deck opens this portion of the Base Set with four Anaheim cards: Mikael Granlund #501, Ryan Strome #502, Chris Kreider #503 and Drew Helleson #504. Much later, the listed Winnipeg sequence has Gabe Vilardi #643, Josh Morrissey #644 and Vladislav Namestnikov #645. Those consecutive groups give Ducks and Jets collectors clear card numbers to seek within the same product. They also show why a team search alone can be imprecise: the player and number identify the actual checklist entry.

The next shown entries change the collecting theme. Upper Deck labels Sidney Crosby #646, Seth Jarvis #647 and Cale Makar #648 as Base Set – Four Nations cards for Team Canada. A Crosby collector can therefore distinguish this Extended Series Four Nations card from a regular club card, and a Team Canada collector can follow a numbered group instead of gathering unrelated Crosby, Jarvis and Makar releases. The section name is part of what makes these cards interesting.

Card #700 is another distinct kind of base-set entry: a Chychrun/Dobson CL card spanning Washington and Montreal. It is a useful reminder that a numbered Extended Series card can be a shared checklist subject rather than a single-player portrait. For a numbered-set project, record #700 as the combined entry. For a player project, include the CL suffix when searching so the shared card does not get mistaken for a solo Chychrun or Dobson card. Official checklist

Young Guns and 1st Round Rookies are different rookie targets

The Young Guns section includes Beckett Sennecke #701 for Anaheim and Florian Xhekaj #702 for Montreal. Upper Deck marks both as rookies and prints 1:3 h, 1:3 e, 1:3 b and 1:3 hanger alongside their rows. A Sennecke collector has an unmistakable starting point in #701; a Canadiens collector has the equally specific Xhekaj #702. The Young Guns name matters because a rookie card in another Extended Series section is a different checklist item.

That becomes especially clear at #740, the Beckett Sennecke/Berkly Catton CL Young Guns card for Anaheim and Seattle. It is a shared checklist card, not Sennecke #701 or Catton’s solo entry. Catton appears again at #742 for Seattle under Base Set – 1st Round Rookies. Artyom Levshunov #741 for Chicago sits in that same named section. Upper Deck displays 1:10 h, 1:10 e, 1:10 b and 1:10 hanger on the #741 and #742 rows, compared with 1:3 across those format labels on the shown Young Guns rows. Upper Deck’s rookie entries

For Catton, that makes #740 and #742 a particularly good comparison: one is a shared Young Guns checklist card, the other a solo 1st Round Rookies card. For Sennecke, #701 is the solo Young Guns entry and #740 is the shared CL card. Neither pairing is interchangeable just because the player name matches. The printed odds belong to their labeled entries and formats; they do not tell you the chance of pulling one named rookie.

Holiday and Outburst give the same numbers new identities

The parallel rows make the set name just as important as the card number. Upper Deck lists a Holiday Parallel – Young Guns #701 Beckett Sennecke at 1:15 Holiday. It also lists Outburst – Young Guns #701 as a foilboard card at 1:75 h, 1:75 e, 1:225 b and 1:225 hanger. Both carry Sennecke’s #701, but they are different versions from the standard Young Guns entry. Official parallel checklist

The Chychrun/Dobson CL card supplies a second comparison. Its Holiday Parallel #700 row says 1:1 Holiday; its Outburst #700 foilboard row says 1:30 h, 1:30 e, 1:90 b and 1:90 hanger. Those #700 figures should not be transferred to Sennecke #701: the checklist separates the regular parallel and Young Guns parallel rows, with different rates. Nor does the 1:1 Holiday line describe every Holiday rookie card—the shown Sennecke Holiday Young Guns line is 1:15 Holiday.

For a Sennecke run, the cleanest want list names Young Guns #701, Holiday Parallel – Young Guns #701, Outburst – Young Guns #701, and the separate Sennecke/Catton CL #740. Each line answers a different collecting choice: the standard solo rookie, a Holiday version, a foilboard version, or the shared checklist card.
