2025 Leaf Joe Montana Celebration: Flash, Valiant and a Jersey-Numbered Purple Run

Joe Montana's Valiant Spirit autograph stretches across a horizontal yellow-and-silver design. Honor Guard turns the card upright, with large lettering on either side of his photograph and the blue signature below. Leaf's 2025 Eclectic Signature Series Joe Montana Celebration takes one player through several distinct autograph designs rather than building a mixed-player roster.

The Leaf calendar dates this 2025-labeled product to April 2026. The manufacturer-issued checklist consistently identifies the set as 2025 Leaf Eclectic Signature Series Joe Montana Celebration, with Montana as its autograph subject.

Seven design groups, with a clear structure

The checklist divides the cards into Flash Auto, Flash Forward Auto, Flash of Color Auto, Flashback Auto, Valiant Auto, Honor Guard Auto and Valiant Spirit Auto. Each group lists two card-image codes and five foil finishes: Prismatic, Shimmer, Crystal, Mojo and Wave. That gives a Montana collector a useful way to identify a particular version through its design, image and foil.

Valiant Spirit's horizontal preview places the quarterback between the insert title and the signature panel. The diagonal silver pattern keeps the action photograph moving across the card, while the yellow background makes its overall shape bright and recognizable.

Honor Guard uses a more symmetrical vertical frame. The large lettering runs down either side of the photograph, and the signature sits inside a pale lower opening. It provides a very different layout for the same athlete, with the upright structure replacing Valiant Spirit's broad diagonal sweep.

Purple /16 has a particular connection

The checklist numbers Purple to 16, matching the jersey number visible in the preview photographs. Other listed colors include Silver /25, Platinum /22, Orange /20, Pink /19, Green /15, Blue /10, Red /10, Black /5 and Gold 1/1. Those numbering distinctions sit alongside the five foil finishes rather than replacing them.

Leaf's product description identifies a standalone Montana tribute with serial-numbered cards and a jersey-numbered variant. The checklist makes that collecting structure more precise: a Purple version has a different stated run from Black or Gold, and the foil name supplies an additional part of the card's identity.
