2026 Leaf Football: CJ Carr, Game Face and Malachi Toney’s Miami Connection

A clean CJ Carr autograph, close-up Game Face inserts and a personal Malachi Toney design give the flagship release several directions.

CJ Carr quarterback base-autograph preview from 2026 Leaf Football.

CJ Carr's autograph preview keeps the presentation simple: a full quarterback photograph, a pale marbled border and a broad white panel for the blue signature. 2026 Leaf Football starts with that recognizable flagship layout, then pushes its inserts toward positions, player personality and a few very different visual treatments.

Leaf schedules Football for October 2026. The box format is six packs of eight cards, or 48 cards, with ten boxes per case. Carr joins Lamar “Bo” Jackson, Makai Lemon and Malachi Toney in the product's advertised signer selection.

From the flagship frame to the insert designs

The base and base autograph designs have multiple parallels. Carr's preview shows why the regular layout works: his helmet and throwing hand remain clearly visible, while the signature sits away from the action photograph. The position label beneath his name identifies him as a quarterback without taking over the frame.

The Sniper preview of Johnny Manziel changes the visual language considerably. Large lettering and a camouflage-patterned surround replace the pale flagship frame. It is one example of the military-focused insert direction described on Leaf's official product page, which includes both inserts and insert autographs.

Dozers belongs to the position-focused portion of the program. Dog in Him moves toward the language and personality surrounding football. Those are different reasons to follow an insert: one organizes players around their role, while the other gives the design a recognizable phrase from the sport's culture.

Game Face and a specific Toney autograph

Game Face uses close-up images of players selected for their tough, determined expressions. Leaf describes the insert as super-scarce. That is the manufacturer's rarity description; the close portrait is the design feature that separates it from the action-oriented flagship preview.

Toney has a more specifically described autograph chase: on-card signatures numbered to 99, with a design featuring his favored outfit and a tribute to his Miami roots. The connection between the player, clothing and place gives that card a more personal premise than simply reusing his football photograph in another border.

Carr's clean autograph preview and Manziel's camouflage insert show how far the product moves between its base design and themed cards. The Toney on-card autograph adds a third direction, built around an individual player's identity. Those are the details that give Leaf Football's 48-card October format its own character.
