Wayne Gretzky’s Clear Cut Honoured Members card gives 2026 Upper Deck Team Canada a fitting centerpiece. A pale-blue maple leaf frames Gretzky in a white Canada sweater, with a red captain’s C providing the sharpest color on the card. Gold trim and a broad nameplate make it feel ceremonial. The acetate construction and numbering to 100 add substance to that presentation: this is a national-team tribute with a distinctive physical format.

This release brings Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, Cale Makar, Gavin McKenna and a substantial Legends selection into the same Canadian hockey collection. It is separate from 2026 Team Canada Juniors. Checklist Insider’s calendar places its launch on July 9, 2026, and Hobby boxes are available at 401 Games.

The Legends are part of the set’s backbone

The complete Upper Deck checklist runs from 150 Base Set cards to 50 Legends, numbered 151–200. Crosby is No. 125, McDavid No. 133 and Macklin Celebrini No. 145; the Legends include Gretzky No. 164, Hayley Wickenheiser No. 177 and Jayna Hefford No. 190. That structure makes the women’s hockey greats part of the numbered set itself, alongside the men’s stars.

Legends fall at 1:2 Hobby packs, compared with 1:5 Blaster packs. Deluxe parallels are numbered to 250, UD Exclusives to 100 and High Gloss to 10 across both portions of the set. The extra visual flourish belongs to the Legends: their Outburst treatment comes in an unnumbered version, Red numbered to 25 and Gold 1/1. A Crosby base parallel and a Gretzky Legends Outburst are therefore different chases within the same release.

Hefford’s Gold Outburst preview shows why this is more than a serial-number ladder. Her red uniform occupies almost the entire card, with the gold rays opening behind her skating pose and the vertical LEGEND lettering framing the left edge. The black nameplate anchors all that movement. It is an especially strong meeting of player, uniform and parallel color; the final checklist assigns that exact No. 190 Gold Outburst one copy.

Gretzky’s tribute and McDavid’s Pathway to Gold

Clear Cut Honoured Members contains 35 acetate cards, each numbered to 100. Gretzky is CC-6, with Caroline Ouellette, Hefford and Wickenheiser also in the set. His white helmet and sweater sit naturally against the icy blue design, while the maple-leaf silhouette gives the card its Canadian identity before the title needs to explain it. Among the release’s previews, this is our favorite example of the design doing the storytelling.

McDavid’s Pathway to Gold P-8 takes a more exuberant approach. The winding, rainbow-colored path gives the background depth, his black helmet and red-and-black jersey keep him visually distinct, and the oversized title occupies the lower half. Upper Deck uses acetate here too, but the illustrated route creates a very different mood from Gretzky’s formal tribute. The 20-card set includes Wickenheiser, Crosby, Gretzky and Celebrini, making it another meeting point for the release’s generations.

Pathway to Gold falls at 1:144 Hobby packs and 1:225 Blaster packs. Clear Cut Winners is a separate 20-card acetate set at 1:72 Hobby and 1:180 Blaster. Those are odds for each insert family, not for a particular McDavid or Crosby card. The distinction matters here because all three acetate sets share the Clear Cut or gold-themed vocabulary, while Honoured Members has a stated print limit and the other two use pack odds.

Makar ink and combinations worth reading closely

Cale Makar’s Gold Auto No. 109, numbered to 25, keeps the underlying hockey photograph prominent. The lower portion fades to white for the blue signature, and gold trim carries through the bottom border and Canada emblem. His stick, shoulders and gaze all point across the image, so the autograph panel feels attached to a live hockey moment rather than a separate studio portrait.

The autograph checklist deserves its own look instead of assuming every base subject signs every version. There are 113 regular Base Auto entries and 45 Legends Auto entries, while Gold has 118 and 47, respectively. Regular Base Autos split into two groups: 80 entries carry 1:14 Hobby-pack odds, and 33 carry 1:28, including Makar, Crosby and McDavid. Legends Autos are 1:72. Makar’s regular autograph is also marked SP, while Crosby and McDavid are SSP; those group odds do not make every player equally available.

The multi-signed cards offer some of the release’s most appealing collecting ideas. Dual Signatures TCD-MM pairs Gavin McKenna with Porter Martone; TCD-CW joins Cassie Campbell-Pascall and Hayley Wickenheiser; TCD-LS puts Manon Rheaume and Kim St-Pierre together. All three are numbered to 25. These are distinct pairings to choose for the players involved, whether the attraction is young talent, the women’s national program or Canadian goaltending.

The checklist expands from 14 duals to eight triples numbered to 10, four quads to 5, four Legendary Lineups Six-Way cards to 3 and four Eight-Way 1/1s. The eight-goalie card is particularly memorable: Carey Price, Bill Ranford, Marc-Andre Fleury, Martin Brodeur, Grant Fuhr, Kim St-Pierre, Shannon Szabados and Manon Rheaume share one card. The mix gives that single-copy chase a clear theme beyond simply accumulating signatures.

The inserts keep the national-team connections going

The same pairing idea appears without autographs in Prodigious Pairings. PP-1 combines McDavid and Crosby, while PP-6 pairs Celebrini and Connor Bedard. This 20-card foilboard set sits alongside Blueliners, Electric Wings, History of Leadership and In Focus. Each of those five families is listed at 1:3 Hobby packs, with Speckle versions, Pink numbered to 199 and Gold numbered to 25 providing additional treatments.

The names inside those themes make them worth exploring. History of Leadership includes Ouellette, Wickenheiser, Crosby and McDavid, while Guardians of the Crease places Price and Brodeur in the same 20-card group as St-Pierre, Rheaume, Charline Labonte and Szabados. A collector following the women’s program can move between Legends, leadership, goaltending and autographs instead of finding every notable name confined to one insert.

What Hobby and Blaster boxes actually offer

A Hobby box contains 12 packs of eight cards. Upper Deck’s box averages are two autographs, six Legends, three numbered base or themed-insert cards, 18 cards across the five main foilboard insert families, two Speckle parallels and four cards across Guardians of the Crease, On Cloud Nine and Representing the Flag. The two-autograph average and numbered parallels give Hobby its particular shape; the broader insert mix provides much of the pack-to-pack variety.

Blasters contain five six-card packs. Their distinguishing base parallel is Red Rainbow, with two per box on average, while Legends average one per box. Blasters also have access to the unnumbered Legends Outburst, Clear Cut Winners and Pathway to Gold at their own odds. The two regular Base Auto groups are 1:200 and 1:400 Blaster packs, with Legends Autos also 1:400, so the Blaster experience centers much more on the base set, Red Rainbow cards and occasional inserts than Hobby’s autograph average.

Gretzky’s Honoured Members, Hefford’s Gold Outburst and Makar’s Gold Auto show three different strengths of this release: an elegant acetate tribute, a bold national-colors action card and a focused autograph design. The shared Canada identity holds them together, while the Legends roster and multi-player cards give collectors a good reason to follow the checklist beyond the first familiar name.
