2025–26 Panini Select Basketball: New Buckets, Three Tiers and Stained Glass
Allen Iverson gets a bright new Select Buckets design, while Stained Glass and three familiar base levels return around a mix of rookies, stars and prospects.
Allen Iverson is headed toward an enormous illustrated rim on the new Select Buckets preview. The court has become a field of green, orange and purple, the lettering looks drawn by hand, and Iverson's photograph provides the action. The familiar Select framework remains: Concourse, Premier and Courtside base levels, an extensive Prizm parallel program, and autograph and memorabilia cards. The three-hit average can be autographs, memorabilia or a mixture of the two. With 24 Base Prizms in a 60-card box on average, the parallel program is a central part of the format. Manufacturer configuration
Three base levels, three different frames
Panini illustrates the levels with Derrick Rose on Courtside Black Finite, Dirk Nowitzki on Premier Gold Glitter and Tyran Stokes on Concourse Dragon Scale. The examples demonstrate both the different base designs and three separate parallel treatments. Official base-card previews
Rose's Courtside image has sweeping diagonal lines, with red and gold cutting through a black field. Nowitzki's Premier is more upright and architectural: broad gold borders frame the photograph. Stokes' Concourse uses curved side panels and an oval-like opening around the player. It takes more than changing the color to move between these cards; each tier has its own composition.
That distinction makes the tier part of the card's identity. A Gold Courtside and a Gold Concourse of the same player would still be two different designs. Buckets and Notoriety add two new approaches
Select Buckets lets the illustration do far more of the work than the conventional base frames. Iverson sits low in the composition, looking toward a rim that fills much of the upper half. The exaggerated scale gives the photograph a new context, while the loose black linework keeps the bright colors from feeling like another polished foil border.
Notoriety takes a different route. The Tre Johnson preview cuts a large horizontal title across the player photograph, with a textured Prizm background and his name along the bottom. Stained Glass still earns a long look
Cunningham's Stained Glass gives the player a dramatic red-and-blue setting, with dark leading lines running through the window-like background. The colors extend into the photograph, helping the player belong to the design instead of appearing pasted over it. It is the strongest contrast to Select Buckets in the preview: tightly structured glasswork against loose illustration.

The autograph preview spans generations
The sell sheet shows Ja Morant on Select Few Signatures, Hansen Yang on Rookie Jersey Autographs and Darius Acuff Jr. on Colorgraphs. Colorgraphs is the new autograph concept; its Tie-Dye example surrounds Acuff with fluid rainbow shapes while keeping the signing area at the bottom. Autograph previews, Beckett product overview
The player mix extends beyond a standard current-NBA checklist. Panini's announcement includes legends, active stars, rookies and NIL prospects, and the preview cards use city or player identification without NBA team logos. For Hammy, the best argument for this Select edition is visual: Iverson's Buckets, Cunningham's Stained Glass and the three distinct base frames already offer clearly different collecting targets. The final player-and-parallel combinations will decide how deep that appeal runs, but the preview has given the card designs something specific to say.
