2026 Leaf Mélange: One Autograph, Paper and Metal, and an Eclectic Cast

Evan Ferguson's 2026 Leaf Mélange preview gives the photograph most of the card. A blue border surrounds his red football kit, and the autograph sits on a silver-colored panel beneath the action. Faizon Brandon's red-bordered football card uses the same straightforward arrangement. The two previews make Mélange easy to understand before its much wider selection of subjects enters the picture.

Leaf released Mélange in September 2026. It is an individually foil-wrapped pack with one autographed card, and Leaf says the packs do not come in case form. The format keeps the signature as the central item rather than building a larger box around base cards and inserts.

Two surfaces in the same release

The official description includes both paper autographs and Metal autographs, with numbered versions reaching 1/1. That distinction matters when identifying a particular Mélange card: the surface is part of its identity alongside the subject and border treatment.

Brandon's preview uses its red surround to separate the white uniform from the background. The angled photograph area and low autograph panel match Ferguson's layout, keeping the two sports visually connected. The signing space is broad enough that the ink remains a clear element rather than disappearing into the photograph.

The roster reaches outside sport

Leaf advertises rare on-card autographs from names including Michael J. Fox, Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, Shaquille O'Neal and Bo Jackson. The on-card description belongs to that advertised portion of the product; it should not be extended automatically to every autograph in the set.

The wider selection mixes young athletes, established sports names and pop culture. Ferguson’s soccer card and Brandon’s football card give the previews two different sporting subjects, while Fox provides an entirely different collecting connection. Mélange's one-card format brings those subjects together without asking the design to disguise how different their audiences can be.
