2026 Leaf Metal Presidents’ Day: Athlete Autographs in Presidential Portrait Frames

Nolan Ryan signs beneath a George Washington portrait background. Peyton Manning appears with John F. Kennedy behind him. Those official previews explain 2026 Leaf Metal Presidents' Day more clearly than the product name alone: athlete and celebrity autographs are presented in presidential-themed frames.

Leaf introduced the inaugural issue in February 2026. The autographs on these two cards belong to Ryan and Manning; the presidents are part of the artwork around their photographs.

Ryan and Washington occupy different visual roles

Ryan's baseball image sits in front of the larger Washington portrait. The historical face supplies the card's backdrop, while Ryan's photograph, name and signature identify the collectible. That layering is the defining design idea of this preview.

The contrast between the two portraits also keeps the card visually distinctive among Ryan autograph issues. His baseball identity remains intact, but the presidential image changes the setting around it. It is a specific seasonal presentation of his signature.

Manning gets the Kennedy treatment

Manning's preview applies the same concept with Kennedy. A recognizable quarterback and a recognizable presidential portrait share the composition without sharing the signing role. The pale autograph area below the athlete keeps the ink readable against the more elaborate background.

Leaf's advertised roster extends well beyond baseball and football. Lionel Messi, Lamine Yamal, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Anna Leigh Waters and Conor McGregor join entertainment names including Aaron Paul, Bryan Cranston, Nicolas Cage, Robert De Niro and Sigourney Weaver. The presidential framing connects those otherwise different autograph subjects.

Leaf advertises four to five autographs per case from its stated athlete-and-celebrity group. Ryan and Manning show the product's central idea in concrete form: familiar signatures with historical presidential portraits providing a shared visual setting.
