2026 Prizm Black NWSL: Wilson Manga, Rodman Color Blast and Chawinga Autos

Ten packs, two autographs on average, and a striking spread of actual card designs give the first NWSL Prizm Black release plenty to examine.

We update this release guide as verified product details develop.

Sophia Wilson’s Manga card looks ready to kick the ball straight through the front of the card. A raised boot, sharp black panel lines and an oversized ball give the Portland forward’s illustrated preview an energy that a conventional action photograph could not quite reproduce. It is our early standout in 2026 Prizm Black NWSL, a debut that also brings Trinity Rodman Color Blast, Temwa Chawinga autographs and Riley Tiernan’s decidedly off-field Drip portrait.

Panini’s October release announcement places Prizm Black NWSL in fall 2026. The exact hobby release day and box price have not been announced on the product page. The previews, however, already show how far this release ranges from metallic frames to full illustrations.

Ten packs, with parallels and autographs in the mix

The hobby box contains 10 packs of five cards, or 50 cards in total, with 10 boxes per case. Panini’s box averages are two autographs, 20 Prizms and 10 inserts. Center Stage, Drip and Connections join the advertised insert lineup alongside Manga, Color Blast and Stained Glass.

That makes Prizm Black a substantially longer pack-opening experience than the single eight-card pack in Crown Royale NWSL. The emphasis shifts, too: Crown Royale averages one autograph and two memorabilia cards, while Prizm Black’s stated autograph average is two. Its 20-Prizm allocation puts parallel hunting throughout the box rather than concentrating the opening around a few fabric cards.

Banda’s preview establishes the underlying frame: beveled corners, a large Prizm Black badge above the photograph, a white name strip and the Orlando crest below it. Purple surrounds her blue-purple Pride kit, but her open smile does the real work. It gives the geometric border a lively center instead of letting the finish become the whole subject.

Wilson’s Manga and Rodman’s Color Blast take opposite routes

The Wilson card at the top of this guide uses an illustrated figure rather than a photograph. Her raised leg cuts diagonally through orange and pink panels, while the ball crowds the foreground. The white name panel keeps “Sophia Wilson” and “Thorns” clear beneath the action. It is a particularly good fit for collectors who want their player cards to do something visually different from the standard uniform portrait.

Rodman’s Color Blast goes wide and leaves the edges white. A full-length running photograph sits over a burst of yellow, green, red, blue and pink, with the Spirit crest in one corner and a small silver name treatment in another. Her dark green kit and pale boots stay distinct against the color. The open outer space makes the player feel less boxed in than Banda’s heavily framed design.

Both are compelling for different reasons: Wilson gets the force and exaggeration of illustration; Rodman keeps the detail of a real photograph. Panini’s hobby packaging calls Color Blast and Stained Glass ultra-rare, but the current product details give no numerical odds for those inserts. The 10-insert box average does not specify which insert designs a box will contain.

Chawinga gives the autograph preview real weight

Chawinga’s Signatures preview uses a broad pale autograph area beneath a red-shirted Kansas City portrait. The blue signature stretches across that panel, with “#6” beside the large initials and a smaller “Temwa” underneath. The Current crest anchors the bottom of the card, connecting the signature to the club without covering it.

The player choice matters as much as the layout. Chawinga won the 2024 NWSL MVP and Golden Boot, scoring 20 regular-season goals in her first NWSL season. Kansas City’s account of that season explains the achievement behind the autograph: she was the league’s first 20-goal scorer in a single season. For a Current collection, this is a signature attached to a defining arrival, with enough space on the card to appreciate the autograph itself.

Tiernan’s Drip and Rader’s Stained Glass widen the look

Tiernan’s Drip is the sharpest change of pace in this group. She wears a loose dark pinstriped shirt with white cuffs, posed against black-and-white marbling and oversized gold lettering. The Angel City crest supplies the team identity while the photograph gives us her off-field presentation. It is a player card with a fashion portrait at its center.

Tiernan scored eight goals in 26 league starts during her 2025 rookie season, setting Angel City’s single-season scoring record at the time. That breakthrough season gives the portrait a useful collecting context: an early-career player with a substantial first season, shown away from the match photographs that usually tell that story.

Rader’s Stained Glass returns to the pitch, with her bright blue Dash kit surrounded by blue, white, red and pink panes. Thick black divisions keep the window pattern readable, and the curved name banner follows the lower arc of the design. The blue in the frame echoes her shirt particularly well. Alongside Tiernan’s gold-and-black portrait, it shows that the appeal of this insert lineup extends beyond its three headline names.

A hobby-shop promotion accompanies the fall releases

Prizm Black, Crown Royale and Donruss Optic are also tied to Panini’s NWSL Player of the Day promotion, scheduled for October 15 through December 1, 2026, at participating U.S. hobby shops. Under the announced program, collectors who purchase eligible Panini NWSL packs and pull the designated daily player or a wild-card player can win prizes. The wild cards are Rodman, Marta and Wilson. Use the official program site to find participating shops and check the rules before planning a promotional opening.

Our first design pick remains Wilson’s Manga. Chawinga is the autograph preview with the strongest specific season story here, while Tiernan’s Drip supplies the most unexpected photograph. Those three cards make Prizm Black worth following for more than its two-autograph box average. The full checklist and exact release date are the next details needed to complete the picture.
