Lando Norris, Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri give 2026 Topps Finest Formula 1 its first defined collecting target. All three have cards assigned to Finest in Topps’ nine-card Grail set, which connects this release with Chrome and Composite. For collectors already following those drivers across the 2026 F1 range, Finest now has a specific place in that larger picture. Topps’ driver and product assignments

US preorders open Tuesday, October 27, at 11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT. That is the preorder opening; Topps has not yet announced when Finest ships or reaches its release day. Official Finest announcement, Topps US calendar

Where Finest fits in the nine-card set

The Grail combines nine cards into one three-by-three artwork. Topps assigns each of Norris, Verstappen and Piastri a card in Chrome, another in Composite and another in Finest. The Finest entries therefore supply three distinct pieces of a collection that spans all three products. Topps’ set description

For a Norris or Piastri collection, that creates a three-product thread around a McLaren driver; Verstappen provides the same route for an Oracle Red Bull Racing collection. The appeal is the relationship between the cards: each driver appears in a different part of the connected set, and the Finest entry belongs alongside that driver’s Chrome and Composite pieces. These assignments establish the subjects, but they do not yet show how Finest’s individual cards will look. Official Grail map

Hobby is the confirmed Finest format for Grail cards. Topps’ format list names Chrome Hobby, Mega and Value; Composite Hobby and Value; and Finest Hobby. That distinction matters here because the Grail spans products with different eligible formats. The manufacturer describes the cards as rare finds, rather than a guaranteed inclusion in every box. What the October preorder will need to fill in

The Grail gives Finest a named three-driver chase before the broader product details arrive. Box price, pack and card counts, autograph configuration, base-set size, parallels and the full checklist remain unannounced. Those details will determine how much of the box sits outside the connected set—and whether the wider Finest lineup offers an equally compelling reason to open it.

For now, the useful distinction is clear: October 27 is the US preorder, and Finest Hobby is part of the 2026 Grail lineup. Norris, Verstappen and Piastri collectors have three concrete subjects to follow as the previews arrive. Our 2026 Chrome Formula 1 guide covers that separate release; Finest’s configuration and designs will get their own treatment here.
