Mickey Mouse gets the full artist's treatment in 2026 Topps Vault Disney Magic Montage. Bright painted figures overlap a background of pale sketches, with Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey reaching across the center and Bret Iwan's signature beneath him. It's a card that connects the character's artwork and voice without making either feel like an afterthought.
Topps plans its EQL launch for October 21 at 2 p.m. ET. The two-card hobby format brings together autographs, production-used props, sketches and diamond-embedded cards. Individual cards can combine several of those elements, but the appeal is in the particular character, performer or piece of a film each one preserves.
Mickey leads an art-centered autograph group
Tim Rogerson's Magic Montage artwork gives Mickey several identities on the same front. The red robe and blue sorcerer's hat dominate, while other familiar Mickey poses appear behind and below. The subdued sketch background keeps those bright central figures readable, and the signature panel occupies its own broad space at the bottom.
The final checklist identifies this card as MM-BI, Bret Iwan as Mickey Mouse. The six-card Magic Montage group also includes Bill Farmer as Goofy, Chris Sanders as Stitch, Josh Gad as Olaf, Margaret Kerry as Tinker Bell and Tony Anselmo as Donald Duck. Topps pairs Rogerson's artwork with the talent associated with each character, giving the group a clear collecting theme beyond its shared frame.
That artwork thread continues in Vault Originals, the oversized box toppers featuring Julie Vu's work. These have a different job from the autograph cards: the larger format puts the illustration first. Topps also includes Premiere Sketch Cards and oversized sketches, so finished printed artwork and individual sketch pieces both have a place in Vault.
Three signatures can tell one film's story
The Toy Story Disney Triples preview stacks Woody, Jessie and Stinky Pete down a tall front. Tom Hanks, Joan Cusack and Kelsey Grammer each get a separate signing area, with their characters positioned alongside. The layout preserves room for three signatures while keeping the character relationships easy to follow. The illustrated copy is marked 1/1.
The checklist groups those three signers under DT-HCG. A separate Toy Story triple brings Hanks together with Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear and John Morris as Andy. Those are two different collecting ideas within the same film series: one centers Woody's fellow toys and antagonist, while the other connects Woody and Buzz to their owner.
Disney Triples also includes Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley from Pirates of the Caribbean, plus David Spade, John Goodman and Patrick Warburton from The Emperor's New Groove. The best pairings work because the performances belong together; the third signature adds to the film connection rather than simply filling a space.
Dale brings a skateboard into the relic window
Dale's Vault Relics preview puts his grinning portrait above a large memorabilia window. The fragment has a visibly worn, mottled surface, giving the card a very different texture from the polished gold-and-green frame. Topps identifies the material as part of his skateboard prop, and the checklist records Dale with Skateboard at VR-DL.
The same checklist names other specific objects: Captain Hook's crocodile skull, Snow White's cottage door and Trader Sam's throne for Frank Wolff and Lily Houghton. The official release description identifies Vault's film memorabilia as production-used. That specificity is the attraction here: the object has a recognizable connection to the character, giving collectors more to consider than the size of the window.
A booklet for the home-video generation
Retro Blockbuster Booklet Autographs draws its design inspiration from 1990s VHS covers. The Shenzi preview shows the autograph side, with Whoopi Goldberg's signature beneath the character's hunched pose and unmistakable grin. Its pale frame and rounded corners give the signing area a softer presentation than the angular Toy Story triple.
The 19-card booklet checklist reaches across The Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and other films. Goldberg's Shenzi sits alongside characters such as Jodi Benson's Ariel and Paige O'Hara's Belle. For collectors who grew up replaying those movies, the home-video reference adds a second layer of recognition to the voice-and-character connection.
Vault's compact format covers a surprisingly wide range of Disney collecting. Mickey's painted montage, the Toy Story triple, Dale's prop fragment and the Shenzi booklet all earn attention in different ways. The strongest reason to follow this release is the way those particular cards connect a performance, an object or an artwork to the Disney story behind it.
