Topps released 2025-26 Topps Chrome Updates Basketball Sapphire Edition on September 3, 2026, through an EQL launch at $1,799.99 per box, with a limit of two boxes per customer.
Sapphire brings its distinctive finish to rookies, current stars and legends, with four autograph families and Padparadscha one-of-ones at the rare end of the parallel run. Kyle and Ralph both entered the launch and were not selected, leaving Hammy without boxes from the drop.

Autograph odds vary by family and color. Gold Topps Chrome Autographs, for example, appear more frequently than Gold Future Stars Autographs.
How did the Topps EQL drop work?
Topps used an EQL draw. Entrants signed in, supplied shipping and payment details, verified their entries and submitted them during the launch window. Topps EQL FAQ
Entry is free and limited to one per person per product, with no card hold just for entering. EQL uses verification and deduplication to help limit bots and duplicate entries. Customers are charged only if selected and their order processes successfully.
Kyle and Ralph each received a not-selected result for September 3. Our EQL and secondary-market article follows their experience and the early resale market. The launch did not disclose entry or allocation totals, so the selection rate is unknown.
