2026/27 Topps Hoops Basketball: November 10 Preorder Preview
Hoops has its next preorder date. A look at where the new season fits, with three cards from the previous edition showing why the brand is worth watching.
We update this release guide as verified product details develop.

2026/27 Topps Hoops Basketball opens for preorder Tuesday, November 10, 2026. The next Hoops season has a place on the calendar, following a 2025/26 edition that put Dylan Harper against a dark Pixel Burst background, sent Jalen Brunson through a blaze of All-Star color and gave Vince Carter his own basketball movie poster. Those older cards offer three very different reasons to pay attention to what Topps does next. Official preorder announcement
November 10 is the preorder opening
Topps’ US landing page names the 2026/27 season and November 10 preorder, and its release calendar places Hoops on that Tuesday. The physical release date and opening hour have not been announced. Pricing, box configurations, the checklist, autograph guarantees and odds are also still to come. Topps release calendar
Hoops sits between two different basketball appointments: 2026/27 Flagship’s November 5 direct-store date and 2025/26 Stadium Club’s November 25 release. The season labels matter here. Hoops and Flagship carry 2026/27 branding; Stadium Club is still working through 2025/26. November contains both seasons, rather than one shared basketball checklist. The previous edition gives Hoops a distinctive starting point
The 2025/26 Hoops release built around a 300-card base set and separated its parallel treatments by format: Pixel Burst in Hobby and Light Burst in retail. That split is useful background for the new season because it made the box format part of a player collector’s chase. The following cards are from that previous edition; Topps has not announced their return for 2026/27. Topps’ 2025/26 collector guide
Dylan Harper’s 2025/26 Pixel Burst Black /10 shows how much a dark treatment can do for a Spurs card. His white uniform stands out against smoky blue and green patches, while pale framing traces a miniature court around the photograph. The sample is numbered 2/10, with the rookie badge beside Harper’s body and a large Spurs mark in the lower corner. Black, white and silver keep the team identity strong even as the background gets busy.
Jalen Brunson’s 2025/26 All-Star Light Burst Orange /25 goes in the opposite direction. The horizontal photograph leaves room for Brunson’s dribble, the All-Star identification and a wash of yellow, green and orange squares. An orange frame and blue Knicks corner pull the colors together. The pictured 11/25 stamp sits above his shoulder; the card itself identifies the 2025 San Francisco Bay Area All-Star event. It makes the occasion, rather than a standard team portrait, central to the card.
For 2026/27, the interesting question is how Topps will give each format its own visual character. Harper and Brunson show why that distinction deserves attention when the new parallel list arrives: one treatment concentrates the eye on the player; the other makes color and the All-Star setting share the spotlight.

Vince Carter shows the room for personality
The previous edition’s Dunk-umentory inserts turned basketball cards into movie posters, complete with screenplay-style backs. The official Vince Carter front makes the idea immediately readable: a towering dunk photograph above an oversized title, with Carter billed as the star and Toronto Raptors and NBA credits below. Even the supporting cast consists of dunks: alley-oop, 360 windmill and elbow hang. Dunk-umentory in the 2025/26 guide
Carter is a particularly good subject for that treatment. The long vertical photograph gives the raised ball and extended arm the top half of the card, while the typography supplies the joke below. It is a basketball card with a premise you can enjoy before checking a parallel chart. That kind of player-specific design is what makes the next Hoops insert reveal worth a look.
Hobby and retail had different jobs in 2025/26
The earlier 2025/26 Hobby box contained 20 packs of eight cards and advertised one autograph per box. Its chase included Rookie Signatures, Hoops Signs and the throwback-inspired 1989 Signatures. The 2025/26 Value box held seven packs of eight cards, with exclusive Green Hoops parallels and a chance at Hyper Signatures. Those are previous-edition configurations, not specifications for the November 10 preorder. 2025/26 Hobby box · 2025/26 Value box
There was also a difference in the insert menu: Oasis and Hoopnotic supplied Hobby chases, while retail offered Hardwired, The Buzz and Jam-Packed, alongside Block by Block and Boom Shaka Laka case hits. A new 2026/27 format breakdown will show whether Topps continues that separate identity for each route through Hoops. Previous-edition format details
For now, November 10 is the new season’s confirmed starting point. Harper’s stark Black rookie, Brunson’s colorful All-Star scene and Carter’s big-screen dunk explain the anticipation: the last Hoops edition found several ways to make basketball feel different on cardboard. The next reveal gets to show which direction 2026/27 takes.
