Lamine Yamal gets two looks on his Futera Platinum World Football Edition 2 base card. A color portrait takes up most of the front, with a smaller black-and-white action image tucked below it. Gold lines bend around the photographs, leaving his name and position on a clean white panel. It is an elaborate base design, and the horizontal Gavi preview gives the same treatment more room to spread out. Futera design previews

Futera has Edition 2 scheduled for late November, provisionally, in its current 2026 release lineup. This is the World Football collection, with players from multiple national teams, alongside the separate Tottenham and Newcastle Platinum club releases. Futera has not attached an exact day to the World Football window. Release schedule

Three packs, with the hit taking center stage

The display-box format contains three packs. Futera describes each pack as carrying up to two base cards, one base parallel and one premium hit: memorabilia, an on-card autograph or a special insert. Four display boxes make a minicase, with four minicases to a case. Those hit ratios are averages across production, so the format does not promise an autograph in each pack. Configuration and terms

Gavi's base card is useful for understanding what those non-hit slots contribute. His red shirt supplies most of the color, while the second photograph stretches across a stadium background. The diagonal name and position panels keep the horizontal layout from becoming a simple side-by-side portrait. Yamal's upright version compresses those same elements into a taller, more architectural frame.

Messi and Yamal headline the ink

Lionel Messi and Lamine Yamal are both on the announced on-card autograph roster. Futera also names Kaká, Luís Figo, Sergio Agüero, Wayne Rooney and Michel Platini, among others. That gives Edition 2 a substantial spread of eras within the autograph selection. Yamal has a role in both the base-card preview and the announced signature lineup; the pictured base design is not an autograph preview. Announced signers

Futera says the reverse of each autograph card records when and where the player signed it. With signatures placed directly on the cards, those details make the signing occasion part of the card's story. The published preview provides names and this signing format, but no signer-by-signer quantities or autograph insertion odds.

Memorabilia gets three distinct frames

Messi's Victory preview builds a shield around his Argentina photograph, with a small triangular memorabilia window beneath him. Marco van Basten's Masters of the Game takes the horizontal route: an exuberant orange-shirted photograph on the left and a much larger curved window on the right. The images give the two designs different focal points, even though both use Platinum's white-and-gold palette. Memorabilia designs

Lautaro Martínez appears in Conquerors, where a low, horizontal window sits below an upright action photograph. Futera includes both game and training memorabilia in Edition 2, with the particular player's material described on the card back. That distinction belongs with these previews: the front's window and player photograph do not identify which use applies to the eventual card.

Palmer and Laudrup change the pace

The illustrated Superstars card puts Cole Palmer inside a broad oval, with his white shirt against a dark stadium. Timeless uses a narrower oval for Michael Laudrup, whose monochrome photograph and red accents give it a more restrained look. Roberto Carlos's Colossus preview goes another way again, using a tilted rectangular portrait and yellow Brazil shirt. These designs let Edition 2 move between active players and older names without giving every card the same silhouette. Insert previews

Futera says the inserts are individually foil-numbered and most sets have rare parallels, including 1/1s. The preview does not assign a print run to each pictured version. What it does establish is an appealing combination for this November release: ornate base cards, a Messi-and-Yamal autograph headline, and memorabilia designs that give the player photograph as much consideration as the window.
