2026 Topps Collector Kit Wave 2: Baseball Meets Football

Six packs from three releases, an exclusive MLB/NFL set and a box of supplies. Judge Gold and Mendoza Black give this starter kit something for established collectors, too.

We update this release guide as verified product details develop.

Aaron Judge, Fernando Mendoza and a stack of fresh top loaders make an unusual box lineup. 2026 Topps Collector Kit Wave 2, releasing October 28, mixes baseball and football packs with an exclusive ten-player checklist and supplies. The regular packs provide the variety; the exclusive set gives collectors a reason to look at this particular kit. Topps release details

That distinction matters for Wave 2. Topps’ first 2026 Collector Kit paired baseball with basketball. This one brings football into the box, including licensed NFL cards and two football rookies in the exclusive lineup. If the first wave felt aimed at the baseball-and-hoops household, the second makes more sense for someone following both the diamond and the football field. Wave 1 product details

Six packs, then the kit’s own exclusive pack

The assortment contains six packs across 2026 Topps Chrome Baseball, 2026 Topps Update Series Baseball and 2026 Topps Flagship Football, plus a separate 11-card exclusive pack: ten base cards and one parallel. Topps has not specified how those six regular packs are divided among the three products. Topps box contents

Chrome supplies the shiny baseball side, Update adds another baseball release to explore, and Flagship Football brings the NFL into the opening. That is a more varied rip than six packs of one set. It also makes the exclusive pack the kit’s connecting piece: the same card design carries both sports, rather than leaving the box as three unrelated stacks.

The included supplies are 100 sleeves, 25 top loaders, one magnetic case and one binder. Those quantities are part of the kit’s appeal for a new collector who would otherwise be buying storage alongside the cards. For someone with a shelf already full of supplies, the more interesting question is whether the exclusive players and designs earn a place in the collection. Topps kit specification

The exclusive checklist: five MLB, five NFL

The baseball selections pair Judge, Bobby Witt Jr. and Juan Soto with Munetaka Murakami and Konnor Griffin rookies. Football mixes Fernando Mendoza and Carnell Tate rookies with Josh Allen, Justin Jefferson and Myles Garrett. Garrett gives the small NFL group a defensive representative; it is not entirely quarterbacks and pass catchers. Official Wave 2 checklist

Witt’s preview makes the design’s appeal easy to see. The powder-blue Royals uniform fills a tall action-photo window, while navy framing and the team crest anchor the bottom. Tate’s card uses the same layout with Titans colors and a prominent RC shield. The two look related without flattening the differences between their uniforms and sports.

Judge Gold and Mendoza Black

Topps’ preview gallery shows Aaron Judge Gold numbered /50 and Fernando Mendoza Black numbered /10. Judge’s gold side panels brighten the frame around his pinstripes; Mendoza’s dark border sits naturally beside the Raiders’ black jersey and silver helmet. Both put the serial number above the nameplate, where it remains visible without swallowing the photograph. Topps card previews

The box promises one exclusive parallel. The pictured Gold and Black cards are examples, not a promise that every kit contains one of those numbered versions. Topps has not published a complete parallel breakdown or pull odds alongside the Wave 2 checklist.

Wave 2 has two audiences built into the same box. A new collector gets three Topps releases and the supplies to start sorting them. A collector already following Judge, Witt or the NFL rookies gets a small exclusive checklist to explore, with Gold and Black previews that make good use of the players’ uniforms. That second audience is why this kit deserves a look beyond the supplies shelf.
