2026 Topps Gilded Collection Baseball: Gold, Ink and 24K

Ohtani and Mantle set the tone for an ornate Chrome release. Rookie autographs bring the color, while new 24K cards take the gold theme into the material itself.

We update this release guide as verified product details develop.

Topps’ official 2026 Gilded Collection Shohei Ohtani card preview.

Shohei Ohtani looks skyward with a bat lowered in his hands, gold scrollwork filling nearly every inch behind him. Mickey Mantle poses with two bats inside the same elaborate frame. 2026 Topps Gilded Collection Baseball gives both the modern star and the Yankees legend the full gold treatment—and this year, some of the gold goes beyond the finish. The November 25 release introduces gold-signed Gilded Ink autographs and 24K one-of-ones made of gold. Topps release details

The frame does the talking

Gilded’s 200-card base set spans stars, rookies and legends, with an assortment of gold-inspired parallels. The frame has plenty going on: floral ornament, a team abbreviation at the top and a large team logo in the lower corner. Yet the player still occupies most of the card. Ohtani’s batting image and Mantle’s posed portrait reach across that patterned field, keeping the photographs prominent within all the decoration. Base-set details and previews

The Ohtani preview, 01/99, is particularly effective in color. His blue sleeves and white Dodgers uniform stand out against the dense gold background. Mantle’s 07/99 example has a cooler silver-and-rainbow center, with the gold border surrounding his pinstripes. The contrast gives these two familiar uniforms quite different presentations within the same design. Official Ohtani preview Official Mantle preview

Travis Bazzana’s Superfractor changes the texture more dramatically. Circular gold whorls replace the floral pattern across the center, while his red Cleveland jersey supplies the strongest color. The 1/1 stamp sits beneath the photograph and the RC shield remains at lower left. With gold already everywhere in Gilded, those recognizable Superfractor circles do much of the work of distinguishing this finish from the other previews. Official Bazzana Superfractor preview

Rookie autographs make room for the signature

The autograph previews soften the lower half of the ornate background into a pale signing area. That is a good choice for this design: the borders can remain busy without forcing blue ink to compete with every gold flourish. Carson Benge, Munetaka Murakami and Jacob Misiorowski each appear with an RC shield and a prominent signature across that lighter space. Official autograph previews

Benge’s 003/199 example extends the warm gold treatment across his batting portrait, with a wide blue signature below. Murakami’s 01/25 preview is livelier: mouth open and gloved hand raised, he celebrates against orange-red ornament. Misiorowski’s 1/5 card catches his pitching arm raised above a navy-and-gold Milwaukee jersey, with deep red filling the background. The shared frame accommodates three distinct photographs without crowding their signatures. Benge Murakami Misiorowski

The new Gilded Ink subset carries the gold theme into the signature itself. Those gold-signed cards join returning Gilded Hall of Fame Plaque Autographs and Gilded Champions. The Benge, Murakami and Misiorowski images above show blue signatures; Topps has announced Gilded Ink separately without including its design among these six previews. Topps autograph lineup

24K and Statuesque give Gilded two different chases

New 24K cards are one-of-ones made of gold, adding a material-based chase alongside Gilded’s gold-colored Chrome finishes. Returning Statuesque inserts have a more specific connection to baseball history: they honor player statues outside MLB stadiums. That subject gives Gilded a way to depict how a team remembers its icons, extending the legends theme beyond the posed portrait seen on Mantle’s card. Topps insert details

Ohtani’s blue-and-gold contrast and the open autograph space on the rookie cards are the strongest parts of this first look. Gilded Ink and 24K give the November 25 release two additions to follow as more cards emerge. The full 2026 checklist, box contents and US price remain to be announced. Topps release page
