2025-26 Topps Definitive Basketball: Flagg, On-Card Autos and Game-Worn RPAs
Cooper Flagg's rookie class gets the Definitive treatment: signatures on the card, game-worn jersey patches and a deep menu of framed and multi-player autographs.
2025-26 Topps Definitive Basketball releases Thursday, September 17. The draw is a combination rookie collectors can get excited about: Cooper Flagg's class, on-card signatures and rookie patch autographs made with game-worn jerseys. For my money, the rookie patch autographs are where to start looking. A signature and a piece of a worn jersey give you two connections to the player on one card. The framed autographs offer a different appeal: a portrait, a signature and a design built for display.

Six autographs gives a box plenty to reveal, but it does not guarantee Flagg or a particular rookie patch autograph. If one player is the reason you're interested, compare that player's singles with the box price when it arrives.
Flagg's rookie class: the patch autograph targets
The Definitive Rookie Patch Autographs checklist has 42 card entries covering 21 players, with two card numbers per player. These five are a good place to begin:

The 1 and 2 at the end of those IDs identify checklist entries; they are separate from the card's stamped serial number.
For a player collection, I would compare the photographs, autograph placement and patch windows before deciding which entry to chase. Two cards of the same rookie can play very different roles in a display. One might have the stronger portrait; another might have a patch that works especially well with the card's colors.
Why the game-worn patches matter
Topps pairs the rookie patch autographs with game-worn jersey material and on-card signatures, with numbering running from /35 to Gold 1/1. That gives the jersey piece a direct connection to play and puts the autograph on the card itself. Topps product details
That combination is the central appeal of these RPAs. The patch adds texture and color, while the signature gives the player room to leave a mark. A well-composed example can make an excellent centerpiece for a rookie collection.
Game-worn does not identify a specific game; check the card's memorabilia statement for any further detail. Within the same card and parallel, the patch's appearance and the quality of the signature can still make one copy more appealing to you than another. Clear front-and-back photographs matter when choosing a single.
On-card autographs beyond the RPA
Flagg also appears in Definitive Rookies Autographs (RAU-CF), Framed Rookies Autograph Collection (FRC-CF) and Defining Images Autographs (DIA-CF). Harper has entries in all three, and Knueppel appears in the rookie autograph and framed rookie sets. Official autograph checklist

That variety makes the autograph families worth learning before buying. A framed portrait, an action photograph and a memorabilia card each present the player differently. Start with the design you would enjoy seeing on a shelf, then compare the available parallels and prices.
Two or three rookies on one card

A multi-player autograph is a particularly enjoyable way to collect a class. It puts the names together from the beginning, and the card's story can develop as their careers do. For collectors who follow several rookies, that shared card can be more satisfying than choosing a single favorite.

Nameplates give memorabilia collectors another project

That is an ambitious project, but even one letter can be a distinctive display piece. For a player collector, the appeal is easy to understand: a recognizable piece of the jersey, large enough for the material to carry the design.
My first look on release day will be at the Flagg, Harper and Knueppel RPAs, followed by the framed rookie autographs. The full Definitive checklist is deep enough to make a short player-and-card wish list worthwhile. Pick the card you want to live with, and let the available copies determine which parallel makes sense.
