2025–26 Upper Deck Splendor Hockey: Rookie Auto Patches and the Final 4 Nations Checklist

Splendor’s one-card Hobby format puts the entire box experience into one serial-numbered card. Within that format, the finished checklist makes the full set name especially useful. Bordered and Borderless versions have different framing, horizontal and vertical cards have different numbering, and the material changes on individual players’ cards.

Eight bordered rookie auto patches

The Bordered Base rookie group contains eight patch-autograph entries, numbered to 36. Their Silver parallels are /22, Red /11, Gold /5 and Black 1/1. Official rookie checklist

Schaefer’s Black preview frames a large patch window beside his Islanders portrait. The border makes the patch feel like an object on display, while the one-of-one tier sits at the end of a five-step numbered progression. Demidov’s Vertical Borderless Red preview makes a different choice: a tall composition, a large material window and less framing around the image.

Vertical Borderless rookies have their own /34 base edition, followed by Silver /20, Red /9, Gold /3 and Black 1/1. That makes a Demidov Red in this vertical family /9, while his bordered horizontal Red is /11. The orientation and full family name identify the card as precisely as the color.

Material changes within the base families

Borderless Base Aleksander Barkov BL-AB is a signed patch card /36. His Red parallel /11 is identified as a stick card, while Gold /5 returns to a patch. Carey Price’s Borderless Base Legends BL-CP /36 uses a leg-pad piece; its Red /11 uses pants and Gold /5 a blocker. These are different memorabilia constructions within the parallel ladder. The vertical families supply another layout and edition. Vertical Borderless begins at /34, then Silver /20, Red /9, Gold /3 and Black 1/1. Gretzky’s Black preview uses the tall format to separate his portrait, patch and blue signature. The checklist’s exact material field matters alongside that design: Splendor’s goalie and stick cards show why every memorabilia window should not be described simply as a patch.

The final 4 Nations pairings

The Dual Auto Patch checklist has three pairings, each /8: Filip Forsberg/Adrian Kempe 4ND-FK, Connor Hellebuyck/Jake Oettinger 4ND-HO and McDavid/Crosby 4ND-MC. Sweden’s forward pairing, the two American goalies and Canada’s McDavid/Crosby combination give the small set three very different subjects.

The separate Dual Autographs checklist contains Auston Matthews/Jack Hughes 4NDA-MH, numbered to five. Single-player Auto Patch has 23 entries /25; Premium Patch has 20 entries /15. The Matthew/Brady Tkachuk image is an early manufacturer design preview. The final Dual Auto Patch checklist names the three pairings above instead. That keeps the preview’s visual role separate from the finished checklist’s player selection.

Signature-led cards and Showpieces

Splendid Signatures has 33 regular entries, including Barkov SS-AB at /23. His Blue is /11, Gold /7 and Black 1/1. The checklist counts vary across those versions, so the presence of one player in a parallel should be checked in that exact group. The Black and White autograph designs, represented here by the green Ovechkin preview, give the signature a simpler photographic setting than the large-window memorabilia cards.

Showpieces Auto Puck has 32 entries, with the opening Alex DeBrincat SAP-AD numbered to five. Showpieces Auto Relic also has 32 entries; Adrian Kempe SAR-AK is a signed stick card /27. Bergeron’s puck preview places the dark circular material beside his image and signature, giving the puck its own recognizable shape. That construction, the tournament pairings and the eight-card rookie patch group are Splendor’s most useful distinctions when choosing a card to own.
